วันนี้ (10 ก.พ.2565) เวลา 1800 น. ณ กองบัญชาการตำรวจท่องเที่ยว พล.ต.ต. อภิชาติ สุริบุญญา รองผู้บัญชาการตำรวจท่องเที่ยวและในฐานะโฆษกของกองบัญชาการนี้ ได้แจ้งให้สื่อทราบกรณี Ms Catherine Hummels นักท่องเที่ยวชาวเยอรมันถูกทำร้ายร่างกายและโทรศัพท์มือถือถูกลักขโมยไปเมื่อวันที่ 5 กุมภาพันธ์ 2565 ในพื้นที่จังหวัดพังงาที่ผ่านมาว่า
พล.ต.ท.สุคุณ พรหมายน ผู้บัญชาการทหารตำรวจท่องเที่ยวและข้าราชการตำรวจท่องเที่ยวทุกคนรู้สึกเสียใจหลังจากรับทราบเหตุการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้น และขอถือโอกาสนี้แจ้งให้ Ms Hummels และนักท่องเที่ยวทุกท่านทราบว่า เรา ตำรวจท่องเที่ยว จะเร่งประสานงานกับตำรวจภูธรภาค ๘ และหน่วยงานอื่นๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้องทุกหน่วยเพื่อจับกุมคนร้ายรายนี้มาดำเนินคดีโดยเร็วที่สุด และจะถือเอาเหตุการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้นในครั้งนี้เป็นบทเรียนของเรานำไปปรับปรุงการรักษาความปลอดภัยต่อนักท่องเที่ยวและสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวบริเวณที่เกิดเหตุให้มีความปลอดภัยมากขึ้นเพื่อไม่ให้เกิดเหตุการณ์ลักษณะเช่นนี้กับนักท่องเที่ยวรายอื่นอีกต่อไป และขอยืนยันอีกด้วยว่า ตำรวจท่องเที่ยวพร้อมเสมอที่จะดูแลความปลอดภัยนักท่องเที่ยวทุกคนดุจญาติเมื่อท่านเดินทางมาถึงประเทศไทย

Tourist Police Statement on German Tourist attacked and robbed.
On 10 February 2022 at 1800 hours at the Tourist Police Bureau, Pol. Maj. Gen. Apichat Suriboonya, Deputy Commissioner of the Tourist Police Bureau and as a spokesman for this bureau has informed the press regarding Ms Catherine Hummels, a German tourist, was physically attacked and her mobile phone was stolen on 5 February 2022 in Phang Nga province that Pol. Lt. Gen. Sukhun Pormmayon, Commissioner of Tourist Police Bureau and all tourist police officials felt very sorry after hearing the incident and would like to take this opportunity to inform Ms Hummels and all tourists that we, the Tourist Police, will expedite our coordination with the Provincial Police Region 8 and other relevant units to arrest this culprit and prosecute him as soon as possible. Furthermore , we will take this incident as our lesson to improve safety and security for tourists and tourist attractions at the scene of the accident to be safer so that this kind of incident will not happen to other tourists and do confirm that the Tourist Police are always ready to provide the safety of all tourists as our relatives when you arrive in Thailand.
