วันนี้ (๑๔ ก.พ.๖๕) เวลา ๑๔๐๐ น. ณ กองบัญชาการตำรวจท่องเที่ยว พล.ต.ต. อภิชาติ สุริบุญญา รองผู้บัญชาการตำรวจท่องเที่ยวและในฐานะโฆษกกองบัญชาฯ ได้แถลงต่อสื่อมวลชนกรณีนักท่องเที่ยวชาวรัสเซียทำสร้อยมรกตประจำตระกูลหายในท้องทะเลจังหวัดภูเก็ตเมื่อวันที่ ๑๐ ก.พ.๖๕ ที่ผ่านมา แล้วมีคนไทยกลุ่มหนึ่งร่วมกันช่วยหาทุกวิถีทางจนได้คืนกลับมา ว่า
กรณีดังกล่าว หลังจากที่ปรากฎเป็นข่าวในสื่อ พล.ต.ท.สุคุณ พรหมายน ผู้บัญชาการตำรวจท่องเที่ยวได้สั่งการให้ พล.ต.ต.กฤษฎ์ วาฤทธิ์ ผู้บังคับการตำรวจท่องเที่ยว ๓ ซึ่งรับผิดชอบสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวในพื้นที่ภาคใต้ทั้งหมดให้ติดต่อกลุ่มคนไทยที่เข้าช่วยเหลือนักท่องเที่ยวรัสเซียดังกล่าวเป็นการด่วนเพื่อฝากคำชื่นชมและคำขอบคุณถึงการร่วมมือร่วมใจในการช่วยเหลือนักท่องเที่ยวในครั้งนี้ ซึ่งถือว่าเป็นการสร้างผลกระทบเชิงบวกต่อการท่องเที่ยวของไทยเป็นอย่างดียิ่ง ซึ่งในที่สุดตำรวจท่องเที่ยวภูเก็ตได้ทราบว่า คนไทยที่ช่วยเหลือนักท่องเที่ยวรัสเซียครั้งนี้มีจำนวน ๔ คนได้แก่ ๑. นายลือชัย ทองนวล ๒. นางสาวชุติกาญจน์ แก้วอ่อน ๓. นายนพรัตน์ จันทร์ทอง และ ๔. นายพิษณุ แก้วประดิษฐ์
ดังนั้น ในฐานะโฆษกของกองบัญชาการตำรวจท่องเที่ยว จึงขอถือโอกาสนี้กล่าวในนามของผู้บัญชาการตำรวจท่องเที่ยวและข้าราชการตำรวจท่องเที่ยวทุกคนในสังกัดว่า พวกเราทุกคนขอขอบคุณอย่างเป็นทางการต่อกลุ่มคนไทยดังกล่าวข้างต้นที่ได้ให้การช่วยเหลือนักท่องเที่ยวรัสเซียตามที่ปรากฏเป็นข่าวในครั้งนี้ และขอชื่นชมการกระทำในครั้งนี้ของทุกท่านอย่างสุดซึ้ง การกระทำของท่านทั้งหลายได้แสดงให้เห็นถึงการเป็นเป็นเจ้าภาพที่ดีในด้านการท่องเที่ยวซึ่งจะส่งผลให้การท่องเที่ยวของไทยเป็น Top of Mind ของโลกได้อย่างยั่งยืนต่อไป
จึงอยากเชิญชวนให้พี่น้องประชาชนทุกหมู่เหล่าช่วยกันรักษาและแสดงออกถึงความสามารถอันล้ำค่าของชนชาวไทยที่มีมาอย่างต่อเนื่องสืบจากบรรพบุรุษของเรา คือ ความเห็นอกเห็นใจและความเมตตากรุณาช่วยเหลือเพื่อนมนุษย์ด้วยกันที่ตกทุกข์ได้ยาก ซึ่งคุณลักษณะอันนี้ได้ส่งผลให้การท่องเที่ยวของไทยมีมนต์ขลังและมนต์เสน่ห์มาจนถึงทุกวันนี้ ขอยืนยันว่า กองบัญชาการตำรวจท่องเที่ยวจะร่วมส่งเสริมjและเป็นกำลังใจให้กับคนไทยทุกท่านที่สร้างความดีและพฤติกรรมที่สร้างสรรค์ให้กับการท่องเที่ยวของประเทศ และขอขอบคุณสื่อมวลชนทุกแขนงที่เป็นสื่อกลางในการนำเสนอสิ่งดีๆ ให้ประชาชนคนไทยได้ทราบในครั้งนี้ด้วย

Tourist police statement praises Thai people for helping a Russian tourist
Today (14 Feb. 65) at 1400 hrs. at the Tourist Police Bureau, Pol Maj. Gen. Apichat Suriboonya, Deputy Commissioner of the Tourist Police Bureau and as a spokesman for the Bureau made a statement to the press about the case of a Russian tourist losing his family’s emerald necklace in the sea in Phuket on 10 February 2022, and subsequently a group of Thai people came together to help and find it and returned to the tourist.
Mr Spokesman said after the case above appeared in the media, Pol Lt. Gen. Sukhun Prommayon, Commissioner of the Tourist Police Bureau, ordered Pol. Maj. Gen. Krit Warit, Commander of the Tourist Police 3, who is in charge of all attractions in the southern region, to urgently contact a group of Thai people who came to help the above Russian tourist for expressing to them the appreciation and thanks on behalf of all tourist police officials in helping tourists in this time. It is because this is undoubtedly considered to have a positive impact on Thailand’s tourism. Subsequently, the Phuket Tourist Police has learnt that 4 Thai people who helped the Russian tourist are 1) Mr Luechai Tong-Nuan, 2) Ms Chutikarn Kaeworn, 3) Mr Noparat Chantong and 4) Mr Pitsanu Kaewpradit.
As a result above, as a spokesman for the Tourist Police Headquarters, I would like to take this opportunity to say on behalf of the Commissioner of the Tourist Police and all our officials of the Tourist Police that we all express our sincere thanks to 4 Thai people above for their assistance to the Russian tourist, and also I would like to express my deepest appreciation for this action of all of you. Your actions have absolutely shown us to be a good host in tourism, which will contribute to sustainable tourism of Thailand being the Top of Mind of the world.
Also, I would like to take this opportunity to invite people from all walks of life to help preserve and show the invaluable abilities of the Thai people that have been continually inherited from our ancestors, namely; compassion and kindness to help fellow human beings who are in trouble. This feature has resulted in tourism of Thailand to this day. I do assure all people that the Tourist Police Bureau will support and encourage all Thai people to create good deeds and creative behaviors for tourism of the country. Apart from that, I do thank all media for being a medium for presenting good things to the Thai people know this time as well.
